SOFA
The SOFA Gallery is the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts art
gallery. The SOFA Gallery provides a distinctive and public space for the University of Canterbury to stage a diverse range of arts and cultural programmes through exhibitions, performances and events for the promotion, education and enjoyment of the arts by the University and the wider Canterbury communities. A mixed and innovative programme focuses on significant aspects of New Zealand and International art practice. The gallery also showcases the work of the staff and students of the School of Fine Arts and is used to enhance the School’s teaching and research programme.
