The Arts Centre of Christchurch Artist in Residence
The residency is by invitation, and we are interested in projects that would not be possible without the support of The Arts Centre or the use of our site/ facilities. The Arts Centre is in Christchurch, and the residency provides accommodation, studio and stipend. It does not provide airfares.
We are happy to look at joint projects with other organisations, and have provided opportunities for artists in partnership with Asia NZ Foundation, Korea Foundation, The British Council, The Physics Room and The Christchurch Arts Festival. The Residency began in 1998.
Past artists include: Michel Tuffery (visual arts), Raewyn Hill (dance), Charlotte Yates (music), Michael Brennand-Wood (textile artist), Zoe Roland (film), Amy X Neuberg (music), Lee Joong Keun (visual arts).
