Telecom Prospect: New Art New Zealand

Telecom Prospect: New Art New Zealand is a curated group show drawing on vital and compelling work made by New Zealand artists over the last three years. A subjective selection rather than a categorical survey, the 2007 exhibition was structured around three intersecting thematic clusters: contemporary abstraction; a reconfiguration of the everyday and augmented reality. Telecom Prospect: New Art New Zealand is the only recurring exhibition of this scale to focus solely on New Zealand practice. A 148 pp publication and a dedicated website accompanied the 2007 exhibition.

Curated by Heather Galbraith, Senior Curator/Manager Curatorial Programmes, City Gallery Wellington.

City Gallery Wellington is managed by the Wellington Museums Trust with major funding from Wellington City Council.
